Creating Virtual Field Trips for Education: A Comparison of Software and Tools for Creating Virtual Field Trips with 360° Images

Virtual Reality (VR) has gained more importance in the educational sector. A possibility of using VR education can be Field Trips (VFTs). This work analyses possibilities creating VFTs with different software/tools, output devices, and 360° cameras The preparatory work, recording own images, is described, including involved time comparison cameras. With a comparison, four categories software/tools for VFT are analyzed under aspects needed technical equipment, effort, skills to create level immersion interactivity, convey content through VFT. For creation use software/tool an device necessary. images requires camera, which very time-consuming, concerning everyday workload teachers. Three tested require graphical user interface low created offers levels interaction. It possible teachers their VFT, but accompanying cost limit during work.
